I am a Clown?

"Clowns are comical performers, stereotypically characterized by their grotesque appearances: colored wigs, stylistic makeup, outlandish costumes, unusually large footwear, red-nose, etc., who entertain spectators by acting in a hilarious fashion" --Wikipedia

Inspired by my daughter, Elayne. Often, Elayne would walk towards me and say: "Papa, you are very funny. You are like a clown". At that moment, I thought that I would like to give her a surprize by dressing up like a clown and sculpture balloons for her. When she saw my outfit, she jumped with joy and quickly ran to my son, Wayne. Elayne said: "Papa, you so funny. Where is your red nose?". I told her that I have to wait for a bee to sting my nose before my nose could turn red. We have had a good laugh together. Wayne suggested that we should take a photo and he directed Elayne and myself with the pose (see picture above). All the 3 of us have a great fun entertianing ourself with the clown outfit and sculptured balloons.

*Elayne asked me to put on the clown costume again after she woke up from her afternoon nap. =)

Balloon Twisting at China, Xi'An

Flower bracelets for every pupils in the village school in Xi'An

Children were excited when they see 260 balloons being inflated

Twisting and modelling balloons for the pupils

During my 6 days in Xi'An, China on Cultural Exchange and Immersion Programme, it is not common to find twisting balloons. Checked out a few stalls and with our tour guide, I noticed that balloon sculpturing was not common in China. The students were very excited even when they see me inflating the balloons. Having quite a fun time twisting and giving away balloons. =)

Vibrant Blood 2010 - NTU Redcross

Dear Sir,

We are very pleased to have your balloon sculptoring workshop for the 3rd time in our project and this program has always been a great success for us in attracting the public and it is because of your sincere help for us.

Yes the volunteers are pretty excited about this workshop and they are eager to attract the public with their skills now. All of them were very happy to know abt balloon scuptoring from you and they were very happy about the way you presented things as in the way you conducted competition to improve their speed and skills which motivated them a lot. The only suggestion was that it would have been better if the workshop was for some more time.

Regards,
